.... purpose?
What a strange question.
I am enjoying to get near to the baby swan and see the changes of it's colors .... while a tale tells there is only white and black swan.
The baby is in the third month and growing fast .... I have no idea about the exact growth of a swan .... maybe this is my purpose as to our question .... the spicification of the tale?
Do you know in what months does swan becomes their true colors?-

I imagine that depends on the sup-species of the swan - what type are your?
You know that here it is an act of treason to kill and eat a swan as they belong to the Queen?-

The mother is a mute Swan from Sweden and the father is a black swan from Australia. Everybody around is talking about the impossibleness of this mating .... there are many different stories around and I am trying to specify the real story.

Yes, I've read about in google .... and I don't think people around here are doing (eating swan) it though.
From a reliable source, the partner of the black swan dissappeared years ago without traces.
The partner of the mute swan was found dead elsewhere. -

It would appear that most swans stay with their parents as fledglings until 6 months old! So by that time there colours and feathers will come through..... I think!

.... then I 'll wait till the colours come.

That is a nice and noble thought. If they are from 2 differing swan type is there a way of knowing what colours they will be?

Yes, people around here are sure of their colours .... without even second thoughts.
.... I experienced a very touchy true story just the other day late in the afternoon:
I was spending a close photo session moment with the swan family .... then came a lady with a camera telling me how dangerous it is to be close to a swan .... she leaves near a sea with huge flucks of swan and that they are all dangerous.
.... I answered: "oh! these family here are very friendly as you can see"
She was watching with skepticism and asked: "will they be irritated with the camera flush?"
I answered: "not at all, they are used to it"
She made some clicks and we had some dialogues and the swans are just few inches around me eating some grass.
I questioned the lady: "what do you think what colour will our baby swan be?
She answered without second thoughts: "It is white"
I couldn't say any words as: "hey! what are you doing?" to the black swan as He rushes to the lady and pulled her red jacket.
And the lady said: "I think, he doesn't like the colour of my jacket, bye! enjoy your time!" then she went.
I just couldn't imagine that the Papa Swan understood our conversation.
What do you think?

I imagine a combination of instinctual factors the sense of fear and dislike and the colour red being commonly used by birds as a warning or to show prowess. These caused Daddy Swan to act as he did.
Or perhaps this unusual family that have bred despite the odds are avatars and he really did understand.-

The above link will take you to a wealth of information on Swans, and from this page numerous other links PDF's Groups etc
Regarding emotions - I think that as with all of us animals as long as the basic requirements are there we are OK emotionally. Those being Safety - Shelter & Food.-
